Student Media Continues Winning Ways

Xavier Herald, and What’s the Rush? staffs brought home Southeast Journalism Conference 2016 Best of the South awards and competed against universities in onsite competitions during the SEJC annual conference at Old Miss.

There were 469 entries in 30 categories from 29 colleges/universities in the SEJC. The Herald placed 5th in Best Public Service Journalism for the Spring 2016 “Student Customer Satisfaction Survey”; Veals placed 10th in Best College Website; Maloid placed 3rd as Best Sports Writer; and Nicholson placed 3rd in Best News Graphic Design, 10th in Best Newspaper Page Layout Design, and 3rd in onsite newspaper design.
